  • Operator/Planning Specialist, Georgia Department of Natural Resources Search and Rescue Team (SART), 2004 - Present

Current Projects

  • Lost Person Behavior research in Georgia - cooperating with Robert Koester in collecting, compiling, and analyzing lost-person incident reports from Georgia. The results should help us find subjects more promptly and in better condition through the use of better search planning

Prior Projects

  • Contributor, ICS Field Operations Guide for Search and Rescue - author-credited as a contributor to the country's premier field guide for search operations
  • Contributor, Managing the Lost Person Incident - contributed to writing and editing of NASAR's search management textbook
  • Instructor, Fundamentals of Search and Rescue course - taught several FUNSAR courses in Georgia and North Carolina
  • Evaluator/Lead Evaluator, SARTECH II evaluation - evaluated and organized several SARTECH II evaluations in Georgia
  • Participant, SARCON 2008 - presented and aided in organization of the Georgia state SAR conference
  • Search pre-plan writing - Georgia Wildlife Management Areas - assisted in search pre-plans for the Pine Log Wildlife Management Area, near Cartersville, Ga.
